West Highland Way Rambler - Southbound

Try a taster of the West Highland Way, one of Scotland's top, long distance walking routes running along the eastern shore of Loch Lomond.

Every Friday and Saturday from 1 May - 26 September 2026 - Return boat from Rowardennan departs at 17:00hrs 

Catch our boat from Tarbet to Inversnaid, disembark and your walk starts and then finishes at Rowardennan (North to South)

Ancient oak woodlands, an amazing variety of wildlife and breathtaking scenery are all part of this fabulous active day out in the fresh air. The walk is approximately 7.5 miles long, with plenty of opportunities to stop at beaches along the way.

With a series of ups and downs on rocky paths, the walk is graded as moderate and is suitable for youngsters and adults who can comfortably walk 7.5 miles.

*We recommend wearing sturdy walking boots, bringing plenty of water, taking all rubbish home, and keeping dogs under control.

Good to know
