The Inchcailloch to Luss Waterbus is a scenic one way, 55min crossing of Loch Lomond, linking Inchcailloch Island with the conservation village of Luss via Balmaha. Departing from Port Bawn Jetty, this relaxing sailing offers beautiful views of the surrounding Highland scenery and a unique way to experience the heart of Loch Lomond from the water.

The Inchcailloch to Luss Waterbus is a sustainable and convenient way to explore Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, connecting visitors with walking routes, island trails and picturesque villages around the Loch. Popular with walkers, campers and day visitors, the route offers opportunities to spot local wildlife including osprey, red deer and perhaps even sea eagles overhead.

*There is a £5.00 charge per person, each way for excess luggage/camping equipment on this Waterbus.

We highly recommend booking tickets online in advance of your journey. Tickets may also be available on the boat on the day, however sailings can be busy during peak periods.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in a Family Ticket?
Family Ticket Our Family Ticket is valid for 2 adults and 2 children aged 5–15 years. If you are travelling with additional children, extra child tickets can be purchased separately. Children under 5 years of age travel free of charge but must be included in your booking so that we can ensure adequate seating is available for everyone on board. Please note that all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the cruise.
Where can we buy tickets?
We strongly suggest purchasing cruise tickets online prior to arrival to avoid disappointment especially in the busier summer months. Tickets can be purchased on the boats and at The Luss Village Shop. 
Do the vessels have disabled access?
Cruise Loch Lomond strives to offer assistance to passengers with reduced mobility. Please state your specific needs at the time of booking and contact us for additional information on 01301 702 356.
Is there parking?
There is paid parking at all departure points. *In the busy summer months we recommend you arriving with plenty of time prior to departure to secure a parking space as the car parks can get busy. 
Are there toilets on board?
Toilet Facilities Yes, toilets are available at all departure points and on board each vessel. However, we recommend making use of the toilet facilities at the departure locations before your cruise departs. Luss – Pay-to-use public toilets located in the main public car park. Tarbet – Free public toilets available in the Tarbet car park. Balmaha – Pay-to-use toilets available at the Loch Lomond Visitor Centre in the main car park. Please note that toilet facilities on board are limited, so using the shore-based facilities before departure is advisable.  
Are cruises and the waterbus child friendly?
Children are very welcome on board! Children under 5 travel free of charge, and a 'Child ticket' applies to children aged 5–15 years inclusive.  
Is there any concession offered?
Yes, we offer a £1 discount on the standard adult fare for concession ticket holders. Concession fares are available to: Adults aged 60 years and over Students with a valid student ID If requested, proof of eligibility may be required when boarding. Concession tickets can be selected when making your booking online or purchased at the ticket office, subject to availability.
Can you take bikes on board?
Yes, bikes are welcome. We have racks on board – there is a charge of £5.00 per bike and £7.00 per e-bike. Please can we ask that all panniers and batteries are removed from bikes prior to boarding. 
Can we take our dog on the cruise?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome on board free of charge but must be kept under control at all times. Advice from The National Park is to keep your dog under close control especially during the bird/wildlife breeding season (1 April to 1 August). In addition, if in the countryside where livestock are grazing,  dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times. 
Is a commentary offered?
There is a live, informative commentary from our skippers on all cruises with translations offered.
Are there refreshments available?
Onboard Refreshments Our fully stocked onboard bar offers a range of drinks and light refreshments to enjoy during your cruise. Choose from a selection of local Loch Lomond ales, Loch Lomond whisky and Gin, Finca wines, spirits, soft drinks and more. We also serve tea, coffee and hot chocolate, alongside a selection of crisps, confectionery and traditional Scottish shortbread. For a special treat during the colder months, why not try our popular Loch Lomond whisky coffee – the perfect way to warm up while taking in the stunning lochside scenery!
Do the boats have safety equipment on board?
All vessels are fully Marine Coastguard Agency compliant and have open reversible life-rafts and lifejackets for everyone on board, including infant lifejackets.
